Ophthalmology Resident Medical Officers

Our client, Treetop Hospital, is planning to transform the healthcare landscape of the Maldives. This tertiary non-teaching hospital is targeted to open in October 2017 and is aimed to improve the health standard of people living in the Maldives. The hospital will also benefit the tourism industry as there is a demand for good health facilities at holiday destinations.
Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care of Malaysia, a JCI accredited hospital group with over 26 years of experience in the industry has been engaged to assist in the planning, design and commissioning of the Hospital. Ramsay Sime Darby has been awarded the contract for operation and management of Tree Top Hospital.
With the capacity and competency of the foreign parties involved in the design, construction and management of the hospital, Tree Top Hospital will compete with the regional market in delivering excellence in healthcare.
Due to open in mid October 2017, Treetop Hospital is a non-teaching, tertiary level, 160 bed facility offering a full range of specialist services, providing you with the ability to contribute to the establishment of departmental operations at the highest standards.
RX Recruitment has been requested to seek expressions of interest from Ophthalmology Resident Medical Officers, able to start from October 2017 (flexible start), and willing to commit to an initial two (2) year contract:
  • Graduate and/or postgraduate qualifications from:
    • Australia
    • Austria
    • Canada
    • Denmark
    • Finland
    • France
    • Germany
    • Italy
    • New Zealand
    • Norway
    • Poland
    • Spain
    • Sweden
    • Switzerland
    • The Netherlands
    • United Kingdom
    • USA
    • Other western European countries will be considered
  • Excellent communication skills (English);
  • Minimum of two (2) years postgraduate experience (medical officers), or;
  • Minimum of two (2) years post-fellowship experience (medical consultants);
  • Holds current registration, and;
  • is in good standing, and;
  • suitable to obtain professional registration with the Maldives Medical Council (MMC).
Professional Registration is granted by the Maldives Medical Council (MMC). This will be coordinated by RX Recruitment and Treetop Hospital, together with the issuance of you employment visa.
